Incubate.com said Tuesday that it has leased part of America West Airlines'
former offices in Tempe's "Tech Oasis" and will begin locating some of its
New Economy operations there.

The private business incubator, formed earlier this year by Phoenix-based
Kaibab Industries Inc., will occupy 15,000 square feet at 51 W. Third St.
The building is also the new home of LeapSource, a business process
outsourcing firm that has been growing rapidly. Incubate.com chose the
Tempe space for its proximity to student talent at Arizona State University
and the Oasis' vibrant climate for technology businesses, President Paul
Ward said.

The old America West space also has conference rooms well-suited for formal
presentations to venture capitalists, as well as space for the pinball
machines and pingpong tables that are practically de rigueur at young tech
companies, he said.

Three incubator companies will move in within two weeks, he said.
Eventually, Incubate.com could have three "campuses" in various Valley
locations, Ward added.

Incubate.com has invested $1.5 million so far in three companies. They are
NetEXE, which is developing applications for palm and wireless devices;
iG2B, which is developing applications for business and government; and
MammothMedia, specializing in interactive marketing tools.
