Tech groups partner

Tech Oasis and the Arizona Internet Professionals Association are teaming for this month's Tech Oasis Night at Copper Square.

The two groups will pool their resources for what they say will be "a huge blowout" at the Arizona Science Center on May 21.

According to AZIPA founder Ed Nusbaum, more than 1,000 people could attend.

Other sponsors include the Downtown Phoenix Partnership/Copper Square, city of Phoenix, In-Flow, Arizona Software & Internet Association and The Phoenix Business Journal.

The gathering will feature AZIPA's traditional business showcase with Tech Oasis' happy hour networking and fun. Attendees also will have the chance to see their choice of two movie screenings at the Science Center.

The event marks the first time AZIPA will meet away from Tempe's Club Rio venue in more than a year.
